Free Mediation Network

The Free Mediation Network (FMN) administers a network of Mediators who offer mediation free at the point of use for those who would not otherwise be able to access mediation.

All our mediators are experienced professionals, have completed a CMC (Civil Mediation Council) accredited course, are up-to-date with their CPD (Continuing Personal Development), have signed up to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators and are fully insured.

We can provide free mediation across the UK on most areas of dispute and we insure where possible the mediator is familiar with the subject area.

Those using the this free mediation service will be able to mediate for up to three hours with no charge. They must sign an Agreement to Mediate and have arranged a venue, unless a remote (video conference, eg Zoom) session is preferred. All participants must have agreed to use mediation: unfortunately the Free Mediation Network does not have the resources to have someone contact a proposed user cold and persuade them to participate.

It is a condition of use of the Free Mediation Service that those using it allow trainee mediators (‘observers’) to watch the mediation under strict confidentiality rules. There will never be more than two observers present.
